Society at Glance:

Rural Development Association, Punjab is engaged in promotion of income generation activities for the rural women and youth for their socio economic empowerment within their villages. The society deducted to promote Entrepreneurship Development Programmes.  Skill Development Program vocational Training and many other need based and area specific training programmes deducted to self employment in the target areas . The society is also working for promotion of organic farming and bio-diversity conselvation and conservation of our natural resources and life sporting system on our mother earth. This mandate  is adopted unanimously by the governing body of society.

Rural Development Association, Punjab Jaitu Distt Faridkot,  Punjab is dedicated for promotion of indigenous Rural Art & Craft practice of Punjab state through its various program and activities devoted to rural craft. The mandate of the organization is to sustain the rural artisans, craft persons, women self help groups  and marginalized peoples in the era of rapid  globalization. The society organic various issues based awareness generation programs, income cu employment generation programmes of technology dissimilation in the rural areas  particularly.

Rural Development Association,  Punjab  is a non-profit  philanthropic organization is also dedicated to rural to Rural/Slums development and advancement of all human welfare interest.  it seeks to identify and contribute the solution of problem villages and slums areas of the state. The VO workers manly for purpose of eradication of proverty, training in income generation programmes promotion of Development programmes and activities for the betterment of general masses.

The organization implement various need based and area specific program for poverty eradication and self employment.  During the year 2005 Rural Development Association, Punjab organization the following programmes and activities.

Vision of the organization:

To promote the sustainable interventions in the rural areas for the empowerment of marginalized community through training, capacity building, awareness and motivation leading to self sustainable and continuity.

Objectives:

The objective of the proposed Skill Development initiative programmed is to engage the rural women in income generation activity through skill training capacity building and sensitization, enabling them for socio-economic empowerment. Engaging the rural women in gainful employment is ultimate objective.

• To provide skill development training to rural women.
• To impart skillful training in hand made paper products and cloth bags   with embroidery for socio economic empowerment.
• To make endeavour  to raise  the income of the rural and backward women and artisans leading to eradicate their financial problems.
• To make the rural community self reliant and raise their status in the society.
• To generate self-employment for rural women and artisans by using their free time.
• Promotion for SHGs and JLGs/ABG.
